The Highlight of a region

@Ibaman: Hello Ibaman, you have moved some content from the Article Epirus region to sub-articles. In my opinion, the region articles should show the main attractions. If someone plans to travel to this area, he wants to see at a glance what the highlights are. Who wants to click through a bunch of sub-articles if you just want to see if a region is a worthwhile destination. --DocWoKav (talk) 07:16, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I think we would all agree with that, but that doesn't mean putting full templated listings in more than one article. Standard practice on this site is to summarize main sights in region articles in prose or perhaps bullets, with links to the "See" sections of city (or park, etc.) articles where they're covered more fully. Is this idea new or unclear to you? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:30, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
It is somewhat unclear to me how it is handled in the English pages. In the German Wikivoyage, the region's main attractions are mentioned and only briefly described. (As I did here). They are then mentioned again in the corresponding sub-articles, but are described in more detail there. However, the highlights from the region article are not removed at all, possibly only the text is shortened if the description was too long for the region article. Our friend Ibaman completely removed the highlights from the region article, which I don't think is right. He could have copied them into sub-articles and described them in more detail. Hence my request on the subject.--DocWoKav (talk) 10:26, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
DocWoKav, my friend, as you've been editing here for some time, it's time to end your confusion. If my description above of standard practice is not sufficient for you, please read Wikivoyage:Region article template and seriously consider putting a link to that article and/or key points from it on your user page. Listing templates are normally not used in region articles, and especially not for sights that are described more fully in city articles. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:51, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Okay, every language version has its rules. I tried to transfer the more detailed content of the German version to the English one. Unfortunately, the rules do not fit in the two language versions. I beg your pardon for the confusion I've been sort of. I will gladly undo the chaos I have caused.
Please, don't simply erase the listings, dude, make sure they're moved to the appropriate town, that's the Wikivoyage way. I"m not sure all the beaches have been moved. Ibaman (talk) 12:20, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I will just clean up the mess I made in the region article and than put listings to the sub articles later. --DocWoKav (talk) 12:28, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

A lot of the listings probably have to be moved to appropriate city articles, right? Hobbitschuster (talk) 15:25, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
